Dr Andreas Busch awarded Karl W. Deutsch Visiting Professorship

Dr Andreas Busch has been invited to hold the Karl W. Deutsch Visiting Professorship for two months in 2007-2008 in Berlin. His research topic is entitled ` the societal mobilisation of protest against the introduction of privacy-related technologies`.
The Karl W. Deutsch Visiting Professorship is held at the Social Science Research Centre Berlin (better known under its German acronym WZB), which describes itself as the largest institution for basic social science research in Europe. The award is named in honour of Karl W. Deutsch, who was the first Director of its International Institute for Comparative Social Research between 1977 and 1987.
Dr Andreas Busch is Reader in European Politics and Official Fellow in Politics, Hertford College.
