Dr Alexander Betts awarded MacArthur Foundation Grant

Dr Alexander Betts has been awarded a MacArthur Foundation Grant of $500,000 to support his project ‘Global Migration Governance: Multiple Institutions and Contested Sites of Governance`.


The MacArthur Foundation considers Alexander`s project to be a flagship scholarly effort to examine global governance of migration, importantly from the perspective of political science and international relations - as well as of developing nations. The Foundation is pleased that this important work will take place in association with the Global Economic Governance Programme, with the support of a variety of leading migration research centres at Oxford.

Dr Alexander Betts is Hedley Bull Research Fellow in International Relations, Department of Politics and International Relations, Wadham College.
