Departmental Lecturer in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation

The department wishes to appoint two full-time Departmental Lecturers in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation from 1 September 2015 or as soon as possible thereafter.  These are excellent opportunities to join a vibrant research centre and contribute to the continuing growth of teaching and research in evidence-based social intervention and policy evaluation.


The Departmental Lecturers will be involved in teaching, supervision and examining on the MPhil and MSc courses in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation, and will also conduct a programme of research within the Centre for Evidence-Based Intervention (CEBI).

Applicants will have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline; excellent skills and experience in quantitative research methods, especially those related to intervention and policy evaluation; and a track record of – or in the case of early career appointments, the clear potential for – internationally excellent publications in highly-ranked, peer-reviewed academic journals and with major presses.

These are fixed-term posts for two years in the first instance. The Departmental Lecturers are responsible to the Head of Department.
