Department, Sciences Po, Maison Franaise dOxford & Sociology : renewed collaboration

The Department is pleased to announce the continuation of its collaboration with Sciences Po, Paris, the Maison Française d`Oxford and the Department of Sociology, Oxford.

The European Research Group European Democracies will continue to support collaborative research between scholars in Oxford and at Sciences Po under a new name: the ‘Oxford-Sciences Po Research Group in Social Sciences` (OXPO).

OXPO is a meeting point for social sciences scholars in Oxford and at Sciences Po, who work on the comparative analysis of the evolution of political systems and societies, in Europe and beyond. It coordinates various comparative research projects that contribute toward this goal and offers various opportunities for developing news ones. OXPO has recently launched a Visiting Professorship scheme to enable faculty from the social and political sciences to visit Sciences Po. Sciences Po will host two Oxford fellows for one month each. Applications are welcomed for visits in the academic year 2009-10; the closing date is 31 May 2009.
