Department part of successful Marie Curie Initial Training Network bid

The Marie Curie Initial Training Network bid (ELECDEM) funds research project and two ESRs for three years, from 1 October 2009.


The Department of Politics and International Relations, with Dr Sara Hobolt as the lead organiser, is part of a successful Marie Curie Initial Training Network bid called ELECDEM.

From 1 October 2009 they will run a project related to Electoral Democracy. This project will be supervised jointly by Dr Sara Hobolt, Prof Geoff Evans and Dr Raymond Duch.

The ITN, funded by the EU Commission, will provide full funding to employ two early stage researchers (ESRs) – PhD students- for three years. The Department will also receive funding towards Methods Training.
