Cross- Divisional Thematic Websites: Energy and Climate

The Division are trying to assist with two thematic websites at present - energy and climate. The intention is that a portal website will emerge which will link all areas of ongoing energy or climate research in different Divisions. It is hoped that this will provide a coherent picture of Oxford research on these two themes to the outside world, or at least a route into all aspects of Oxford research on these themes.
Additionally there will also be an intranet function, which will provide a forum for potentially collaborative discussions between different areas of energy or climate research. To that end, Dr Sam Sneddon, Research Facilitator in the Social Sciences Division has contacted departments in the Division in order to find out whether there are any members of the respective departments who might be particularly interested in either theme.
Additionally, if these two websites take off the Division will be looking for other suggestions of thematic websites that might be helpful to departments. Other examples that have been mooted include: Environment, Migration and Material Cultures.
