Christopher Hood gives evidence to Public Administration Select Committee

Date
Prof Christopher Hood, ESRC Public Services Programme Director, and Prof Colin Talbot, Programme Fellow, were two of four eminent experts on British government invited to give evidence to the Public Administration Select Committee, informing their inquiry into Good Government, on Tuesday 16 December 2008.

Representing the Programme, Christopher Hood helped to introduce a discussion about the quality of governance in British public services and where Britain and a number of other countries ranked regarding different public services. This stimulated debate about the relative value of ranking as a measure of quality.
