The Department of Politics and International Relations is pleased to announce that our 2022 Oxford Spring School in Advanced Research Methods is now open for applications.
The 2022 Oxford Spring School will take place virtually from Monday 18 to Friday 22 April.
Oxford Spring School offers graduate students and researchers from universities across the UK and abroad a unique opportunity to learn cutting-edge methods in Social Science.
The programme consists of a variety of courses in data analysis techniques, and the use of these techniques in different types of research design. We offer several courses relevant to both quantitative and qualitative researchers: in 2022, the week-long options are Causal Inference, Quantitative Text Analysis, Hierarchical Models, Qualitative Methods and Fieldwork and Machine Learning. This year we are also offering an additional intensive workshop ‘Analysing Twitter Data’ which will run Wednesday 20 to Friday 22 April.
This year’s courses will be taught virtually, via Zoom, with course instructors joining from varying locations. The core course fee is £500 per participant, with an extra fee of £300 for the additional intensive workshop.
