Annual Heron-Allen Lecture 2024
This year, Professor Jonathan Baillie will speak on "The Journey to 30 by 30", charting the journey from today’s biodiversity crisis to the aspiration of 30% of the world’s natural habitats being protected by 2030.

Professor Baillie is a former Director of Conservation Programmes at the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), former Executive Vice President and Chief Scientist at the National Geographic Society in Washington DC and he is currently President and Chair of Natural State, which works with local communities, industry, government and conservation leaders to help protect, restore and rewild large landscapes.
